{ Photo Journal Japan }

This application, along with a photo upload- and sortingsystem, has been made for my brother. He wanted an interactive and graphical way to show his travels in Japan. The result is this Photo Journal, where visitors can gain insight into his journey through maps and photo galleries.

The graphics have been designed to give a sense of discovery and exoticism to the user. The rolls of paper, old cards, crumpled notes and the "handwritten" text should give the impression of being behind the desk of a Medieval explorer.

I made this application in the summer holiday between schoolyear one and two. It was an interesting project to put all my new found knowledge of the first year of school together into one application. In the second year of my education I optimized the Photo Journal to make it faster, smoother and easier to use. Especially using the bulk loader library (loading all media elements before showing them) has contributed immensely in this.
