{ Last.Charts }

This website was created for an homework assignment for a module about web services and RESTful web services. The purpose of the assignment was to create a mashup between two existing web services, which both offer an API. My choice fell on Last.fm and Google Charts, because I felt that I could add additional functionality to Last.fm with these two API's.

I originally wanted to keep it small so I could focus on the possibilities of both API's. The result however was very satisfactory to me (and fellow students), which made me continue developing it further. The result is Last.Charts, "A mashup between Last.fm and Google Charts. Converting your music plays into charts." By using Last.Charts the user can get an overview of the music they listen visualised in a graphical manner. Users can view their top ten of listened artists, albums and/or songs.

In September 2010 version 1.1 was released: the most important change was the conversion to HTML5. In januari 2011 version 2.0 was released applying the new Works of Time design.
